Garden Sketch: A clear design direction for your garden
A focused garden sketch that helps you see the possibilities of your outdoor space and make confident decisions about structure, layout and overall direction.
A garden sketch is about understanding the potential of your garden and how the space can work better for the way you live.
It gives you clarity and a strong, visual starting point for shaping your garden, with a focus on structure, zones, flow and the overall feeling of the space. A haveskitse helps translate ideas, wishes and possibilities into a clear design direction you can move forward with.
A BERRY haveskitse is ideal if you want professional input and a cohesive concept for your garden, but prefer to shape details, planting and implementation at your own pace.
What to expect from a BERRY garden sketch
A BERRY garden sketch focuses on understanding your garden as a space - its structure, flow and possibilities.
You receive a clear, hand-drawn sketch in scale that shows:
• the overall structure of your garden
• suggested garden rooms and zones
• pathways, lines and spatial flow
• how different areas can be connected and used more intentionally
The garden sketch indicates overall planting themes and key plant elements to support the structure of the garden, such as areas for perennials, shrubs, small trees, larger trees or climbers. These are shown on a conceptual level to support scale, atmosphere and spatial balance, not as specific plant recommendations.
The haveskitse gives you a strong conceptual framework to work from and helps you move forward with confidence, whether you choose to develop the garden yourself or with further support later on.
A garden sketch does not include detailed planting plans, exact plant quantities, final bed layouts, moodboards or visualizations. If you’re looking for a more defined visual direction, planting guidance and inspirational material to support the full look and feel of your garden, a BERRY garden plan may be a better fit for your project.
Pricing
A BERRY garden sketch costs 6.500 kr. for a garden of up to approximately 800 m² (plot size). The price is in addition to the mandatory 2-hour garden consultation (2.500 kr.), which always forms the starting point for the process.
Larger gardens or projects with additional complexity may increase the price. Any adjustments are always discussed and agreed in advance.
How it works?
Step 1: A garden consultation
Every garden sketch starts with a 2-hour garden consultation in your garden. We walk the space together, talk through your wishes, everyday needs and priorities, and explore the possibilities of your garden as a whole.
Before the visit, you’ll be asked to measure and draw your garden in scale (1:100) and answer a few guiding questions. Clear instructions and examples are provided, and I’ll guide you through the process – no technical background needed.
Step 2: Conceptual draft
Based on the visit, I develop your garden sketch in my studio, focusing on structure, layout and the overall garden direction.
The first step is a conceptual sketch of the garden, which we review together either in person or online. Based on this, one round of minor adjustments is included before the garden sketch is finalized.
Step 3: Delivery of your sketch
You receive your finished garden sketch and we go through it together, so you fully understand the ideas, layout and next steps.
The garden sketch is delivered as a physical, printed sketch, and any supporting notes are shared digitally after the review.
